NO-Spend Valentine’s Day Ideas (part 1)

A No spend Valentines Day is possible. Check out how in this post.

Valentine’s Day celebration is here again and it does not necessarily mean you have to break or rob a bank to make it an enjoyable one for your partner or loved ones. A lot of people are of the opinion that spending so much and sometimes unnecessarily makes the day more special and fun but we beg to disagree.

There are so many ways by which you can make this year’s Valentine’s Day really special and enjoyable for your partner and/or loved ones without breaking your arms or legs. Let’s share some with you, shall we?

#1 – Potluck

This is simply spending quality time with your partner or loved ones but not just you with them alone. You can invite some of your friends who maybe couples over and then do fun things like play games, see a movie, and/or have dinner together with them.

#2 – Attend Free Events

Usually during Val’s day, a lot of groups and institutions organize free events to celebrate the day and in most cases, they come out really nice because there is a lot to eat, drink, discuss and generally just merry. You and your loved one(s) can search for such events around your location to attend and have fun without having to spend so much.

#3 – Gifts

Gifting is a very thoughtful way to show someone how much you care about them. It doesn’t have to be expensive because what matters the most is the intention and thoughtfulness that came with it. One way to have a beautiful valentine’s day with your loved one(s) is to give something as a gift. It could be an item or just a little thoughtful action or something. Remember that it does not have to require that you spend so much or even at all, what matters most is the intention behind it.

#4 – Movie Night

Grateful for Netflix, these days you do not have to go to the cinemas to watch the most trending movies. You can have a great Val’s day celebration with your partner or loved ones indoors watching movies on Netflix. It will save you a lot of costs; just do not forget the drinks and popcorn.

#5 – Dinner

Normally in your home, you have dinner right? So this shouldn’t be any different on Valentine’s Day. The idea is to not spend so much or spend at all hence what you want to do is raid your freezer, prepare dinner like you normally would for you and your loved one(s) but this time with a little twist. You want to prepare a couple of delicacies based on what’s available in your home just to spice things up and have a general dinner set up just like we have during thanksgiving where everybody comes together to have dinner, gist and basically just share love.

There you have it! Try any of these ideas for Valentine’s Day this year and thank questergate for saving you a couple of bucks.

Happy Valentines!
