Five Ways to Identify Fake Sneakers: Lessons We Learnt

Identify real from fake quickly with these simple tips.

There is usually a very exciting feeling that comes with buying a new sneaker or item generally and it’s a very fulfilling feeling because it is one that comes with a sense of pride especially when you buy what you desire and it is original, sneaker heads can relate.

This same feeling is what you experience when you make the right investments with the right platforms. You feel proud and fulfilled knowing you did the right thing and this feeling even gets sweeter when your investments start to yield returns. However, we cannot always be too careful or lucky because there are loads of fake products being sold in the market and sometimes it can be quite difficult to differentiate fake from original.

A lot of people are victim of this but it is very possible to avoid getting yourself in such mess and in this post we will show you how.

  1. It is unbelievably cheap

Buying unbelievably cheap sneakers especially from famous brands like Nike and Adidas without being told is not the real deal because those brands are known to sell their products at a quite pricey fee compared to others. Don’t get carried away by how cheap it is selling for because the truth is you will not get to enjoy your shoes in the long term. This same situation can be related to investing as there are so many fraudulent investment platforms out there that make promises that they cannot keep but because they can be very cheap to invest in, you go ahead. These sorts of platforms do exist and can give you quite a lot of trouble if you do not decide early enough to run away from them. For safe and secure investments, click here to learn more.

  1. It wasn’t bought from a reputable store

Most times, in order to get original sneakers, it is advisable to buy from a reputable store or directly from the website of the company. Buying from just about any store you come across increases your chances of buying a fake sneaker.

Google is your friend because this tool makes researching online very easy. Employ the use of google in making research so as to get enough and accurate information about the product and the right place to buy from. It is the same thing for Investing. This would demand that you do a lot of research before engaging your resources and money in a particular investment scheme or platform so that you don’t make mistakes that could have been easily avoided if only you researched about them.

  1. Wrong Lettering

This is the most common easy way to identify a fake sneaker. When the lettering is wrongly spelt, you can tell that it is not original because the owners of the product have existed for a good amount of period to be making cheap mistakes especially with their brand name. Once you notice this, it’s enough sign for you to know that it is a fake sneaker. Just as in Investing, it is important to not make the mistake of investing with the wrong company out of ignorance. It is important to take time to research about the company you want to invest in and/or with, checking all the facts and figures before you invest with them. Don’t get carried away by wrong letterings as Nike is not the same as Nyke or Puma the same as Pumu.

  1. No SKU Number

Usually, there is an SKU number on a label inside of a sneaker when you buy it. If it doesn’t have this number, then it’s not original. It’s that simple. Investment companies usually have a specific registration number unique to them and if it is registered under the CAC of Nigeria then you can visit www.cac.gov.ng to confirm this before you engage in doing business or investments with them.

  1. The Entire Feature Looks Wrong

Merely looking at a sneaker, you can tell that it is fake because all of its features just do not look right. So sometimes you do not need anything more than the features of the sneakers you want to buy to tell that this is not the real thing. It’s the same for investments because many of them have features that just tell you that they are fraudulent and won’t keep to their promises and really that’s just what you need to identify what is fake from what is real.
